We have had rain every single day for the past week. This is the weather I expected when I moved out to the PNW, none of the sunshine we had for four months. Matt loves to say that summer is Seattle’s secret weapon, and it is 100% true. We had a great summer, with tons of days that were just the right kind of warm. I lived in Britain for 3 years, the summers there (which I loved) were very similar to what we have in Seattle.
I know it’s such a cliche to talk about the weather but I find it fascinating. The weather widget on my computer is always the first thing I look at in the morning, and I swear to you that I check it five times an hour. Not even kidding! And I love the rain. I’m a knitter so any time it gets below 50 ° I’m a super happy bunny.
My camera broke last Thanksgiving. Since I was in school at the time I didn’t replace it. I still haven’t gotten a new camera, but Matt did get me a new phone (my first smart phone, ever) for my birthday so I can share pics with you readers of my blog. Hi mom.
Obviously this is the best picture of life in Seattle. The Pink Elephant Car wash taken from the bus. Matt keeps telling me Elvis brought his car here. And can’t you see the torrential rain? Trust me, it’s there.
